Four patch quilt

This is a quilt that I worked on while making other things.  It’s called a leader ender quilt, a term coined to explain the process of sewing a block at the beginning and end of sewing other blocks. Sewing a scrap block in between other sewing cuts down on all of the loose threads, and also eventually gives you enough blocks to something together.

I frequently cut my small bits of fabric into three inch blocks so I have them by my machine to work with.

i didn’t want a checkerboard look so put sashing strips between the blocks. imageCornerstonesimageimage
